How it works
How your Family Book comes together.
You don't need to organize everything at once. Start with a few simple questions, then add more whenever you're ready.

Four simple steps
Step 1: Start with a few questions
Try MyRegistr without creating an account. Begin with a few simple things: your family, who to call first, and a little about your important papers. Skip anything you'd rather add later.
Step 2: See your Family Book begin to take shape
Your first answers come together right away in a simple Family at a Glance, the beginning of your Family Book. It's a small start, and that's the point.
Step 3: Save it if you want to continue
We only ask you to create an account when you decide to save what you've started and keep going.
Step 4: Build it a little at a time
After you save, the Guided Builder lets you choose what to work on next, like insurance, bills, health, pets, or important people. There's no required order. Add something, stop, and pick up where you left off whenever you return.
Your Family Book grows with your life
- Accounts change
- Insurance changes
- Doctors change
- Vehicles change
- Important people change
- Papers move
A Family Book isn't meant to be finished once and forgotten. Come back and update it as life changes, and the people who depend on you will always have a current picture. It's the natural result of staying organized, not the reason you start.
The map, not the vault
Your Family Book helps you record:
- What exists
- Where to find it
- Who to contact
Please don't put passwords, PINs, recovery codes, seed phrases, or similar secrets into your Family Book. Record where those things are kept and who can help, not the secrets themselves.
Share when you're ready
Sharing is optional. When you're ready, you can invite people you trust and choose which parts of your Family Book each person can see. You can change what someone sees at any time.
You don't have to finish it today. You just have to start.
