Privacy Policy

MyRegistr (“MyRegistr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is built on a single principle: the most reliable way to protect sensitive information is to never collect it in the first place. MyRegistr is a private index of where your important information lives — not a vault of the secrets themselves. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.

Information you choose to add.We store only the information you review and explicitly save to your dashboard — such as institution names, the location of documents, professional contacts, and the last four digits of account identifiers.

Limited technical data. We collect basic operational data needed to run the service securely, such as session information and request metadata used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

We never request or store full bank, investment, or credit card account numbers; Social Security numbers; or online banking passwords, PINs, or login credentials. This restriction is enforced in your browser, again on our server before anything is saved, and a third time on any data read from an uploaded document. See our Security & Privacy page for details.

When you upload a statement to auto-fill your dashboard, the file is read in memory to extract the relevant figures and then immediately discarded. The original document is never written to disk or saved in our database. Only the information you review and approve is retained.

We use your information solely to provide and secure the service: to authenticate you, store the data you save, send essential account and service notifications, respond to your inquiries, and protect against fraud and abuse. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Your information is private to you. On a Family plan, access is shared only with the family members you explicitly invite. We share data with service providers (such as our hosting, database, and email providers) strictly as needed to operate the service, and when required by law. We never sell your data.

Authentication uses industry-standard hashed passwords and secure session management. The information you save is encrypted at the application level using AES-256 authenticated encryption before it is written to our database, and is further protected by encryption at rest at the infrastructure level and TLS in transit. Every request is scoped to the signed-in member so you can only ever access your own information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but our data-minimization design means we simply do not hold the most sensitive categories of information.

We retain the information you save for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us, after which we will remove your information except where retention is required by law.

You may review, update, or delete the information in your dashboard at any time. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

MyRegistr is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email.
