Founder Story · Part One
It Started With a Promise

For most of my life, I believed I had done everything I could to protect my family.
Like many people, my wife Rita and I planned ahead. We prepared our wills, made our funeral arrangements, purchased our cemetery plots, and even selected our headstone. I believed that by taking care of those important decisions, I had done what every husband and father hopes to do — make life a little easier for the people he loves.
Then I retired.
For the first time in decades, I had something I hadn't had in a very long time.
Time.
Time to organize the life we had spent decades building together. What began as a personal project gradually became what I now call our Vest Family Office.
I started gathering everything that mattered — investment accounts, life insurance policies, bank accounts, trusted advisors, legal documents, healthcare contacts, funeral arrangements, and all the information my family might someday need.
As everything finally came together, something unexpected happened. I started sleeping better. Not because my life had changed — because, for the first time, I could finally see the whole picture.
The quiet mental burden I had carried for years had been replaced with something I hadn't expected. Peace of mind. But that peace led to another question.
If organizing my own life brought me this much peace of mind… how many other people were carrying the same invisible burden?
What about the husband who quietly keeps everything organized? What about the wife who hopes she could find what she needed if life suddenly changed? What about adult children trying to help aging parents whose important information has become scattered across decades of life?
I realized I couldn't be the only one. As I shared what I was building with my family, I expected questions about investments, insurance, or estate planning. Instead, my son-in-law looked at me and simply said,
“Thank you.”
Those two words have stayed with me ever since. He wasn't thanking me for organizing documents. He was thanking me because he knew that if life ever took an unexpected turn, he wouldn't have to begin with confusion. He would know where to start.
That was the moment everything changed. I realized the Vest Family Office wasn't just helping my family. It could help other families too.
After building it, I started looking for a tool that already did what I had created for my own family. To my surprise, I couldn't find one. I found digital vaults. I found password managers. I found estate planning software. But I couldn't find a platform built around the simple idea that had given me peace of mind: knowing exactly where everything is.
Even more concerning, many of those products required people to upload passwords, Social Security numbers, complete account numbers, and other highly sensitive information. That didn't make sense to me. I wasn't looking for another digital vault. I was looking for a better way. A better map.
Preparation isn't an act of fear. It's an act of love. Privacy isn't simply a feature. It's a responsibility.
One of the greatest gifts we can leave the people we love isn't simply our legacy. It's the confidence of knowing exactly where everything is. If MyRegistr can give another family the same peace of mind it gave mine, then every hour spent building it has been worth it.
Welcome to MyRegistr. I hope it becomes part of your family's story.

Peace of mind starts with a single decision.
Today, add one thing your family would need to know about—a will, an insurance policy, or a trusted advisor.
It's a quiet gift they'll thank you for.
